Solar panels on a holiday let

I am thinking of purchasing a holiday let and would like to install solar panels to save on energy costs.

Am I able to claim this cost against any profits I make from renting the property out?

Is there an updated guide on solar panels as this was produced in 2011 and i believe that the rules have changed significantly since then?

Are this things already worth it to try anyway ? I clearly do not get why ? Everywhere I met something about them I see only it's good in the very long run that's for sure, but if you want for sure please do it. As for your main question - I am not that sure
