Solar panel's import business?

i am thinking to start the business by importing the solar panel's and solar related componets from india into UK and initally targeting to sell from ebay and slowly will move to B2B.
is there any UK/EU regulatiion on solar components imports and selling into UK? Need your opinon/view on this business?

Ultra compeititve market place that is tightly regulated, and I mean tightly. Every component of a system will have multiple approval requirements, that's why most brands/OEMs etc specialise in one or two parts of a solar system

If you want to get them tied into grid for feedin that is true.

I guess you might be able to sell direct if you made it totally clear they were non certified.

People living in residential boats and off grid would still be a market

Could raise issues with insurance if not certified.

I can't see it being worth the saving.
