Software subscription nominal code

I've just realised there is a nominal code for software subscriptions in the 76xx range, and instead I had inputted my Sage subscription in 7703 (computer software). Is there a big difference between the 76xx and 77xx range? If so, how do I correct this when the transactions were for previous year (year end has not been completed yet)?

I wouldnt worry - its not wrong to show it as computer software.

You can use the nominal code that you consider most suitable, there are no rules on this but it is important that you are consistent so that you remember to use the same code for your next invoice.

I've been using a 77XX code for years and never had an issue.
