Hi, everyone!
Do any of you use applications to connect to a remote computer?
I came across a new one called HelpWire it's free and there are no limits for use – exactly what I've been looking for.
I'm interested in your opinion about this software if any of you have already used it.

My washing machine is proper air gapped but I have my suspicion the dryer next to it tries side channel attacks at night!
Well if you only have suspicions the rest of us dont stand a chance
I dont have any ideas for your problem but has anybody tried a padlock on the door of their washing machine to prevent hackers

The only remote connections I make are from laptop to desktop less than 50 ft away (wireless Remote Desktop) and from desktop to Raspberry Pi (wired VNC).

I wouldn't trust anyone outside those to connect remotely to any of my machines, nor would I expect anyone to trust me trying to connect to their machine.

When we went in with another company in the late 00's they had an outsourced IT support contract. That 1 man band wanted to leave an open remote access application on every PC they maintained.

I screamed and shouted but the Directors of the other company wouldn't listen to my concerns as these machines were dealing with peoples job applications and cv's every day plus bank account details for temps.

It was only as that app couldn't actually see through our Centos Server that i got away with uninstalling it from our machines. The other companies machines which were on a MS server based network sat with that app open on every machine continuously for years

I wouldnt use any remote access device that i wasn't very very sure of the providence of and it would be shut off unless actually being used with the ports closed.
