Snack Bar/ Catering Trailers

Hi, I want to start my own business. I have no real business experience. I was thinking of buying a catering trailer, however where I live is a nightmare to get a pitch. Does anyone else think that the councils are trying to force snack bars off the road so to protect the bigger corporations, I,e McDonalds, Greggs, Burger Kings and those very expensive service stations. Or could I make a living
trading at shows and fetes. Or would I be throwing my money down the drain?

Get a list of upcoming events of your local council and try to be selective in which ones you attend as there are fees involved, however my mate does mobile catering and does very well. No rates or fixed costs when you are not working, always having cash flow and he reckons it's best to stay away from chips, keep to the flat top and have good freezer storage available... Good luck.
