Evening everyone.
I've recently completed an SMP1 form for an employee who isnt eligable for SMP via us as she has not been employed for long enough.
I detailed on the form the reasons why however she has contacted me this morning to say she's had all her forms sent back asking for her old employer to complete an SMP1 form for her as she was with them for sometime and during a particular qualifying week in her pregnancy.
Now I'm pretty good with forms etc and am pleased she has come to me for advice but the tricky part is her previous employer is no longer in business and it doesnt appear that there is anyway she can contact them.
The only notes she or I can see is that she needs to speak to Inland Rev but just wondered if anyone could shed any light as to how they can help as MA goes through the Jobcentre.
Feel eager to help her out and it can't be easy going back and forth worrying about money when you're about to have a little one!
