Hello friends

I run a small healthcare business and currently use a Manchester based guy who is a MozyPro reseller for our business data online back up (100GB)- apprx £29pm. Since we deal with patient confidential data, we require UK/EU based service compliant with data protection act.
My current reseller has now abandoned back up only service and going full service incl managed IT/back up/AV protection for £100pm.
I am looking to move the back up only service to a different provider now so wondering if anyone could help me on this matter.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Although this is a slightly different approach it may be of interest. We have a hosted remote desktop service (also based in Manchester) where both the application and its data sit on the "cloud" servers and is then backed up to 2nd data centre also in the UK. We are ISO 27001 Information Security Management System and have several health care companies running their applications and keeping their data with us.
if you follow this link you can find some more information about it, but prices start from less than £20 a user. Let me know if you need any more information on it.
Best wishes, Ian.

Thank you guys for all the replies. I am tempted to look into Amazon AWS S3 back up option but I gather it doesn't have an automatic back up synchronisation facility. Just wondering how other users of S3 are utilising the suite for auto synchronisation from say a local PC?
Cheers

If you want the process automated you will need some software.

Take a look at Arq Backup.

https://www.arqbackup.com/

You can try it for free and you can even mess around with the Amazon for free (or for pennies) to get a feel if it works for you.

Google "sync to amazon s3"

If you looking for an affordable solution you control I'd recommend having your own ftp off site backup on top of on site backup services. You could simple upload data to your house as a 2nd backup. Acronis allows ftp uploads. Backblaze offers a business service as well with private encryption key that doesn't cost a fortune.
