Small off-licence doing delivery service possible?

hi there my parents have run a successful convience for over 25 years.

I was wondering if it was possible to create an delivery service for the shop in the local area, would this be possible and profitable? How would I go about this and what would be an decent price to do this?

Help as I would like to try this but not sure how to attempt

You can create one.

Whether profitable? Ask the supermarkets.
With lease vehicles, hire vehicles and multiple drivers per vehicle they find it hard.

in the 50's I used to do it on a grocers bike with a big box frame on the front so I could either carry a large box or fit a basket for smaller orders to a few people

I would imagine its a good idea with a small van and delivery limited to a couple of hours a day

We have a pub in the village who delivers fish and chips on Fridays as well as a fish and chip shop who don't deliver
