Skype tel numbers

Is there anyway that you can use your skype tel no on your website, without taking calls from all and sundry who just want to pass the time of day?

At the moment I allow just my contacts to call me, otherwise its bedlam!

Can't really see how... Maybe worth changing it to a Call Back service instead? But that would cost you.

Or maybe use some sort of screening process - Contact Us > Whats Your Enquiry > then ever give the Phone number for sales, or Email address for Queries. (But then again some people like to see a number listed.)

The annoying thing is its the same with any sort of "IM", like MSN...

Ah ha, think I know where I went wrong. I put skype me mode on!!!! Now I am on normal mode. So should I have a skype tel on my website, and if so, how do I do it?

Yeah I bet... Its awkward, but somehow you need to get it straight to the point. Maybe script something down... But the thing is coming across shirty and not friendly - I bet some pet owners love talking about their animals sometimes.

Thought about using a Virtual PA?

ah... gotcha... lol yeah those buttons are too convenient! Yeah stick the number up, most will think before making a call if they believe its going to cost.
