Full paid up members can post links in their signatures, however if I have an address and not an active link in my signature should it be classed as a link?
i.e.
level200.com << is this a link?

level200.com << or is this a link?

My definition of a link is:

The URL imbedded in another document, so that if you click on the highlighted text or button referring to the link, you retrieve the outside URL.
I didn't expect the perception, however debatable, could draw to this extent by one defiance on a standpoint.
It would appear the goal to exposure, the correct way within an accepted norm, is now totally defeated by disregarding one's support of the very forum that is suppose to inspire the participant and failing to adhere, simply is resorting to rebelling...

Why stay on when your voice, even as an outrage, has no basis anymore... here or elsewhere for sure?

This is a sad exposure of one's weakness against oneself in struggling to differentiate how exposure comes with some basic understanding... and all it takes is a modest yearly fee which is worth the finding for the 1st year.... thereafter, leave if the environment is still not conducive, I'm sorry to witness this level of poor judgment by John.:)

Happy New Year to you nonetheless and I hope you make up a resolute decision to do something more concrete than to drag this "One man's interpretation" for the sake of driving the point through... I'd better focus on your other skills you actually have than pursue this wasteful energy, cheers mate.

Problem with that is the numpties would add links in posts looking for juice, including bogus sig style links. Why not nofollow across the board, go on, live dangerously ;)

I think what you are forgetting is that links and content go together - and this is a low/no spam forum, with members adding quality content with sensible links

If it all went nofollow the Forum would be less of an authority resource - not more - in the eyes of the SE's. IMHO it would do Sift more harm than good.

Also - many members would put less effort into posts or go elsewhere

OK, in that case perhaps just leave as is unless the UKBF police are up for a heavier workload.

Would the mods please make sig links nofollow to sort this out
<<<<<
Don't think Sith would do that - not as long as there are signature-link aficionados who think that forum links are important enough to pay for them.
