Hi i have nursery shop that is situated outside town about 1/2 mile on main road. It is basically a large garden centre with 4 units, my nursery shop (My Wife and I), Restaurant, Beauty Salon and Curtain company. I am paying 13k a year plus vat plus rates. Recently a new Business park has just launched its first units starting at 85k for 1000sq foot. The B.Parkwill take about 10 years to build up and at the minute is very quiet. It is near where i am at at the minute but is also a mile outside of town. Now we have always eyed up a town center location and would you know it is on the market for sale or rent at 22500 per annum plus vat plus rates. It is beside supermarket and we expect would increase our footfall business. We are at a cross roads. (and by the way we have no footfall at all). Option 1 - buy the units and run mostly web with appointment only. option 2 - move to town center location pay double rent and run website. Also we stock alot of our stock at home.

Hi

Not sure on your product range or business model. However, I would have thought that if you carry out your research to see what increase you will get in business from being in town next to the supermarket. If the increase in business is more than you increase in costs by a decent margin that is where I would be heading.

Also if you get footfall you may be able to expand product range etc
