Should I be afraid of foreign software?

I have got an offer for buying a e-commerce software named eproSHOP. It is a polish product (but they have an English version of software as well as their own Website in English) with dedicated graphic layout and 3-years warranty and help (by telephone or a helpdesk). My question is:
1. What do you think about this cart.
2. If you had a possibilty and budget, would you buy a foreign software?
3. What I should check or ask before I buy from the company from abroad?
If yes, what I should check or what to ask about before I buy from the company from abroad? I am not sure if I should be afraid or not. Have you ever bought software from abroad? Thanks for all replies.
 
Eastern Europe has made something of a success in the software market - look at AVG.

However, why buy an obscure shopping cart from a foreign publisher where the support staff are going to speak variable levels of English? If you want someone to help you with it at any stage, you may have trouble finding someone with any experience of the product. Why not go for one from an English-speaking country, with good support and and active user community that can help you?

Just implement Magento Commerce (Open Source Community Edition)
as your shopping cart system. Blows anything else out of the water functionality wise and its free.

If you must pay and have support then go for cubecart paid edition (V5 is coming).

After reviewing there solution more closely i don't see any benefit in getting that system unless you were focusing your efforts on selling to a polish marketplace in Poland (in polish obviously)

All of the integrations are for polish websites, services and gateways etc....

You'd be better served with magento and using some of the vast third-party modules to integrate it with UK specific services, websites, gateways etc...

The cart I use has been developed in Russia, and the developers are very good, they have a better standard of English than alot of native people :p any problems and its sorted within minutes, bug fixes released within a day or two, supports all major payment processors, they are releasing a royalmail integration module soon.
And its very very cheap for what you get, I couldnt be happier with my foreign software.

I asked about integrations and language problems. They told me that:
1. The software will be in English version, so there will be no problems with the language
2. I talked with a employee... in English:) and the help is in English too.
3. Integrations listed on their Website really concern polish market, but they can always create integration for the english market too - after the client's indication.
They have provided me all the answers and the cooperation starts after the signing of the contract.

Sorry but just how much is this polish software that is so good that you are willing to reinvent the wheel when the wheel has been innovated to perfection with already available USA/UK shopping cart systems.
Have you looked at magento?

Yes, I have looked at magento and I really don't like one thing... help as a forum. I don't have a time for sitting and asking people "what to do or how to do", second thing that I am not a programmer.
Could you tell me how much does the cubecart V5 cost? I will compare it with the eproSHOP.

Ok, and this is the best: "The software is provided on an "AS IS" basis, without warranty of any kind, including without limitation the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. The entire risk as to the quality and performance of the software is borne by the Licensee.Should the software prove defective, the Licensee and not Licensor assume the entire cost of any service and repair" Is it a joke?

Polish (eproSHOP) company gives me 3 years warranty...
