Shopping Sites - Any good experiences

Hi there,

With so many shopping sites, comparison sites it can be so difficult in my opinion which ones to choose.

I had have some experience with uploading products to shopping sites but I was wondering if there was any shopping sites in particular people had a good response from?

Matt..the display network in Google Adwords places ads in a lot of them so is a low risk way of seeing what the ROI is like.

Thanks for that. Yes I know that is a good way of seeing your ROI.

But I was more interested in hearing if people have had any great experiences from using shopping sites. I know it can depend on what products you sell so examples of products you sell to what shopping sites worked would be most useful.

Its for a website my family owns.

I beleive the success very mush depends on the product and the price of the product!

I used Kelkoo a couple of years ago and it did ok. (was for leather beds). A friend of mine also used this site for handbags and she does ok too.

I think with shopping comparison sites there are 2 things to remember:
1) If you price isn't competitive, forget it! Visitors will search on this type of site for the cheapest item.
2) The conversion from click to purchase is higher than PPC in the search engines due to the type of visitor being more in the mindset of "purchaser" than "browser". However you don't get the traffic volume.

Personally I think it is definitely worth a go as you don't pay unless there is a click so you have nothing to lose really
