Hi All,

I am in need of some help please. I have a business instagram account, which I am trying to enable the shopping feature on. I have followed all the set up requirements listed at help.instagram.com, including connecting to my business facebook page and its shopping catalog etc. However when I go to instagram > settings > business, I do still not have the option to apply for shopping. The only option I see are: promotion payments, branded content and quick replies. Has anyone managed to do this and could help?

Me too since a long time. I think they are being selective with bigger brands and soft rollout. If anyone knows why let us all know.
I can also imagine that they don't even realise their interface isn't properly working as big and arrogant as these guys tend to be.

Do they not have an email, user group or help function you could contact who could help with this. If not why not ask them via their social media.

I was in this situation for a few months. I have a shop facility with Ecwid. They kept telling me I just had to wait for Instagram to approve my account for shopping. After many chat sessions, I finally got it sorted out. I can't remember exactly what happened now but I seem to remember it was that the catalogue of products had been created three times in Business Manager in FB. Once the copies had been removed, Instagram instantly approved me for shopping. So don't wait. Get Facebook to check all your settings. Facebook assistants vary greatly so if one doesn't solve the problem request another.

I had trouble getting mine sorted out, go over everything a couple of times in order, usually it's something obvious that's been missed.
It doesn't help that I'm sure some of the guides are now outdated, so some of the steps you need to follow may not be clearly outlined. Still, read through them a couple of times (YouTube guides are also handy) just to make sure, I often have an "ah ha" moment and find the missing link.

I'm sure for me in the end (after sorting the other bits out) it came to making sure that catalogue in FB was owned by the same business in FB and not my personal FB account.
Once everything was set up it only took a couple hours to have things linked up and to be able tag products in Instagram, now works perfectly.
