So for those of you aware of the method of using the $5 ad method on facebook to sell products either for full price or for free etc etc

Anyhow, I got on to this, on my first campaign i made one sale from a $5 ad, very little profit but i have made sales doing this so i know it works....

I have tried many different products and i am getting a lot of website conversions from the ads but no purchases on the products! It is very frustrating that i am getting interested people checking out the product and then they are put off by something (that i would really love to know) there is something that has them backing off.

Any people with experience here that can help me out?

Thanks
Michael

I agree with webgeek, with the limited amount on the ads it could be generating you the wrong type of people that you seek. Have you tried adjusting your target audience? Try upping your ad spend to $10. It's all a matter of testing until you get the right mix of your target audience who would like to buy your product.

BTW can you access some a report (like Google Analytics, for example) that tells you WHEN they leave the site? Do they come to the product / landing page and then leave immediately? Or they actually browse through the website pages and then leave? Or, add product(s) to their shopping cart, and leave after that?

Knowing this could help you understand the reasons why people leave, and, maybe even change something to increase conversion rates

Are people in the buying mood when on Facebook, the more likely scenario is they are using a search engine like Bing or Google when looking to buy

I would suggest having a small try on Adwords or Bing and see what results you get you can limit the spend to a £5-10 per day to monitor the results and get full feedback on whats happening even look in real time
