Shopify Checkout

Dear All

I am looking at a new platform for one of my new ecommerce sales initiatives - it just needs to be a basic website nothing fancy but I do want a spot on checkout, in other words the ideal would be:

Cater for worldwide sale currencies
Minimal customer input
Clear and slick functionality
Offer several payment options: Paypal, Credit/Debit Card, Bank Transfer, Cash, cheques etc in other words give the customer choice as to how they pay.
X-Sales e.g. Amzon - 'customers also bought this'
etc.

Does shopify offer this in particular the 'Offer several payment options' part?

Hi Mike,

Yes it does. Their checkout is responsive as standard too.

The cross selling is done easily with related products but if you want a more complex recommendation system you can use a Shopify app for that. The cross selling is done on product pages rather than in the checkout though.

You can also set up a currency converter quite easily but you can only process payments in one currency.

So choose a Gateway provider that will allow you to process multiple currencies, ( ourselves, SagePay, WP for example) however it will probably all be settled back to yourself in a single currency..

Also be aware that Shopify do not support 3D Secure except through SagePay and that now wacks up your Merchant charges if not configured in your gateway..

Also be aware that Shopify do not support 3D Secure except through SagePay.

Even that isn't properly integrated and it's only sagepay form which works with 3DS. You can't refund via Shopify but have to log into Sagepay to refund which is cumbersome.

It works very well with Paypal though.
