Sharing ideas without getting them stolen?

Hi UKBF

I've got a few ideas that I know I cannot pull of on my own. I have the technical skills for one area, but not another area. I know somebody that could/would potentially cover this other aspect. I do not know them 100% therefore cannot put 100% trust into them.

I want to share my idea with them and ask them if they want to join forces on said project, but is there anything I can do/give/sign so that the idea cannot just be stolen? its not a physical item, but a service. This service has been done before for many similar things, but not this specific area I hope has a niche marked to it.

Thanks for all the advice.

Sharing new ideas is always a risk and if I'm honest, an NDA isn't going to really help you out.
By the time they've set something up and actually breached the NDA, it will take you a month of Sundays to go down the legal route - by which point your idea will have been well and truly stolen.

The best thing you can do is make sure you have the controlling interest.
Or just share the top level of the idea with them and don't share the details on how to get it done.

or get them to actually put some money into the project!
