Applied for an account somewhere and they told me I was listed as only shareholder of my limited company at Companies House.

I know this changed a few months ago and accountant did the paperwork to make myself and wife 50/50 shareholders. Question is :-

1. How do I check/amend for companies house?
2. Will I get into trouble/fined because this was not done immediately?

It depends how you made the change to your shareholdings.

If you transferred some of your shares to your wife, then there will be no record of this at Companies House as you don't need to file share transfer forms with them. The information at Companies House will be updated when you file the next annual return.

If the company issued new shares to your wife, then a SH01 form should have been submitted to Companies House. You can check this by searching for your company and looking at the recent filing history.

Ah. I see. It was a share transfer and not new shares.
