Setting up US Business

I have been running a UK based company for 15 years. It's going well and sales to the USA have increased enough that I'm now considering opening a US business. This is so that we can open accounts with US distributors and stock products in the US rather than exporting from the UK.

1. Anyone have any experience running both a UK and US business? Tax implications etc?
2. Anyone started a business specifically in Washington state?

Hi,

I set up a US Company (LLC) in New York in 2018 and this involved applying for a US tax ID, incorporating an LLC (Corp) with a valid US office address and opening a USA business bank account (Bank Of America). I got a little help from our US partner but 90% of what was required I done myself and I found it to be quite straight-forward really.

Great. Simple is the best Did you get any other advice straight away such as tax advice etc or do you just seek this out as and when you need it?

I just researched what was required, proceeded and tackled any issues as I went along.
