does any one a firewall, antivirus and malware software that I could install on a dedicated server to give us a little bit more protection

Just to make a note I already use ithems security on all my sites but just thinking is there any thing extra we can do back end

Thanks Ricky

What operating system are you running?

Are you hosting websites? If so, you may want to use a WAF (web application firewall) too, e.g. mod_security for Apache configured with decent rules. Additionally you could consider putting something like CloudFlare in front of any websites, CloudFlare acts as a WAF but also provides protection against denial of service attacks.

That is a bit of a worrying question if you have an unmanaged dedicated server and you are asking basic security questions on this forum.

Managing servers and their security is a skilled job, and even I (that have been doing so for more than 20 years ) call in experts occasionally

Software is not recommend for servers or non-home use... I recommend seperate hardware..

Me personally as I work from home I use pfSense (community edition). This runs on a dedicate hp dc5700 desktop that cost me £60 (with additional network cards) from ebay . This sits between my internet connection (virgin media router in modem mode) and the network.

    pfSense is open source firewall..

Yes, my machines (desktop and laptop) have antivirus (Avast) software, but I've disaled the firewall as I personally find pfSense does the job I need it do..

Recommend reviewing your requirements and the more senstive data (confidential files, personal information etc..) the more of a requirement it is to increase the security on it..
