I keep getting emails from companies stating they could get more traffic to my website with SEO but it all looks like spam.
Is there any companies that actually do this and
Will it increase traffic at all?

There are others here who know far more about SEO than I do, however here is a guide to working with any partner in business

- ignore all claims and promises
- pay close attention to the questions they ask - in particular questions about your aims and your marketing strategy.

Those questions will give a clear indication to whether they will actually work with your business or just randomly spam forums

I don't know of any SEO companies that have to send emails asking for work. If they're good at SEO/PPC, they'll be choosing which clients they want to work with.

Will it increase traffic at all? - maybe, maybe not. Depends who you use, how much work your website needs and how much time/budget you've got.

The acronym SEO is thrown around all over the place, like you just 'SEO it to a million pounds' with the click of a button.

It's all spam, usually for a sub-par Indian SEO factory with a UK front happy to tie the unwary into a B2B contract based upon 'best efforts'. Ie- they will do sweet FA (nothing that will work at least) yet you will be legally bound to continue to pay them.

Any SEO company worth their salt will not be sending spam emails. I've noticed a large uptick too- it's a sure sign of an upcoming recession.

I think you meant 'reasonable efforts' rather than 'best efforts'. 'Best' is a lot more onerous although I'd hate trying to explain SEO to a judge.

'Free Ferrari with every purchase' or 'Smutty pics of Scarlett Johansson' will send you viral and bring loads of traffic without SEO.

I’m quite impressed that Michael Jordan is writing to me offering his AI SEO services. I’d reply but I’ve had the exact same email from loads of other celebs so don’t know which one to use.

My advice would be to buy a good SEO book that's highly rated on Amazon and learn as much as you can yourself first.

Usually it's hard to hire the best people without knowing quite a bit about the subject yourself.

What are you asking, of course there are companies that can generate traffic and leads, but they aren't sending out generic emails?
