What are you aims and what sort of terms do you want to target?

I think it is likely to be pretty expensive though:

1 - your site is new with few links
2 - site is thin on link-worthy content
3 - property terms are competitive

On an unrelated note, you have an issue on your news need (bottom left).

HTML:
Mortgage "famine" for high net worth borrowers
 </a>
<br>
Borrowers looking for mortgages in the &amp;amp;pound;1m plus br...<br>
Your developer is double and triple escaping HTML entities. Best thing to do is to encode them as UTF-8. Beyond, the five core XML entities, HTML entities are for old schoolers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o..._entity_references#Predefined_entities_in_XML)

thanks for that, will get it changed. yea I would like to rank under phrases such as "property advice, Hips, conveyancing, moving advice" etc...

OK. Those terms are not so competitive. I think if you wanted to outsource the SEO for this site you would need a budget of at least £500 / month for at least 6 months.

However, there is not much use asking for pricing on SEO. Basically, the cheaper you want SEO, the more likely it will contravene search engines guidelines. This won't get you penalised, but this type of SEO generally doesn't last as long as SEO, which is closer to following search engine guidelines. If you want SEO that follows search engine guidelines to a T, you would probably need £5,000 per month for at least 6 months and then you'd really need to continue it in-house or continue outsourcing it after that to gain the most benefit.

If you want SEO for your site, but don't have at least a 4 figure sum, I would advise yourself to get some training as I don't think it would be worth it for your site.

SEO is very expensive if you want to be serious. You can get some rankings with a few punts, but again the longevity of the results of that investment won't be great and the traffic probably won't be too.

In additions info/community sites like yours are even more difficult to make a success of online.

I fully agreed with David on this point.

SEO if done correctly is not cheap. If it is done properly it takes time, and a serious amount of money.

However if your after quick results that don't last, you can get that at a cheaper price, but I would not recommend you do that.

i do disagree with David in the fact that I know for a fact some of the keywords you are targeting (hips) for example is becoming very competitive online, and will only become more competitive as more, and more people start to advertise for it online (as hips are relatively a new concept).

I would recommend that you site down and have a real think about what you want to do in terms of optimisation of your website. Do it right? Or Bodge it?

If you want it done right, then you have 2 options.

1. Invest some money, and a heck of a lot of time, and go on a course, and learn SEO properly (the oldskool way).

2. Be ready to pay for a reputable company with proven results in your field to deliver for you.

If you choose (2) feel free to pm me, as I have a client who is on page1 of Google for keywords on a similar line to yours. Also I know for a fact he would be happy for me to work on your site, as it is not direct competition.

Good Luck.
