I dont like free seo books where you have to give your information. You can just tell its gonna get passed about and you might start gettin calls.

I can agree with matt i read it. I knew a fair bit of it which suprised me but it is a very good read.

I wouldn't be surprised. There really aren't any secrets to SEO, it's just getting the right content onto well structured and optimised pages and then getting people to link to them. It is hard work and time consuming whic is why people spend such a long and fruitless time looking for ways of cheating, cutting corners and automating.

Its like that film 17 again, the nerd creates software to help pirating, and then creates software on how to stop pirating.
Why would matt cutts tell you how to manipulate the results for Google, it sort of defeats the object of his existence.

Matt Cutts with SEO tips? ;-) It's something like listening to Bill Gates how to install Linux...

You can follow his rules and get perfectly good results - ignore what he says at your peril.

Did you know they had an algorithm for detecting paid links?

And they are always improving this algorithm with real-world data.

I'd rather watch his videos than find out 5 years down the line 3rd hand about something important.

They have too much at stake to get their results manipulated long-term by the likes of mutley and co.

Matt Cutts tells you exactly what he has been told to tell you; and some people believe him while others take a lot of the stuff he spouts with a pinch of salt.
