I'm in the accountancy sector looking at keywords such as: -

Online accountant
eBay accountant
Pub accountant
Tax services
Bookkeeping services
etc

Can anyone recommend a good SEO company please? Cost effective? What should my budget be?

Is that national or Yorkshire area?

Are you wanting to be on organic results, PPC or both?

You should have a ball mark figure you can reach before approaching any company.

...We work on a national level although I would see it beneficial to appear on local city searches - Leeds, York, Hull etc. Having said that these are minimal.

I would prefer ALL organic as I rank top 20 for many of them already.

Hi,

i have been using the same person for my SEO now since Dec 2011. I can only report good things from him, our site seems to go from strength to strength with numerous keywords either on page one or edging onto page one.

What you have to remember from the start is that SEO is not an over night project and one that needs to have a good plan. The guy i use talks you through in detail what he intends to do and what he thinks the results could be.

What i also like about him is that he educates me and shows me how to do SEO myself, not that i will be taking on his role anytime soon.

we used a company for 6 months before being introduced to him and we may as well threw our money off a bridge, we would have got more satisfaction from doing this. We never moved any position and from what we know now, that company did nothing towards our SEO.

I would recommend doing some SEO yourself. I'm not sure of many free SEO tools but if anyone does know I would be grateful for the advice.
