Have you considered PPC (pay-per-click) advertising as an alternative or in addition to SEO? With PPC you would be able to tailor your listing in Google to each of your audiences and target specific keywords that your potential customers are searching for.

It all depends on how competitive your key words are?

I achieve 1st page in google for one of the most competitive terns around "new car discount" & more importantly have been doing so for 10 years. You don't want to be black listed or keep paying hundreds every month.
