Selling to BRICS

Hello all,

I have a few questions about selling to the BRICS nations, particularly India and China, as there is somewhat of a market for my products. Here goes:

1. Because I have an online shop, are there any ways of selling directly to Chinese customers? I've heard of sites like "TaoBao" and the such, but they seem to only be of use to the Chinese. Should I just hope that people from that country stumble upon my site?

2. How hard would the logistics of exporting be? Can I just go to a DHL delivery point and send it straight away? Any bureaucracy?

3. There is no legal aspect of only shipping to certain countries right? At the moment, I only sell to UK customers. If I decided to ship to China, India, and Russia for example, there would be no problem in not including countries such as USA, right? I vaguely remember some sort of legal mumbo-jumbo about a company that didn't ship to the USA. I cannot be certain of this though.

Any help? Thanks :)

Very hard,Because you can find the everything is much cheaper in China.
So maybe you can change your target market

Actually I disagree with keytop. I sell things to Chinese on an ad hoc basis, they may make all of the copies but they actually want originals for themselves.

I have sent over, by courier with no problems, Trek bikes and cycling tops

My contact in China acts as go between, orders from me, pays up front and then adds bit of a markup
