I've told him to get profeesional advice (hopefully he will) but interested to hear thoughts here too.
A local lad has asked me to build a website for him.
He is a cabinet maker and in his spare time for the past 3 years has been fitting out a narrowboat (bought a brand new empty carcass).
He wants to set up a business fitting out boats for other people so asked me to set up a site for him for this, and also to sell the one he has just finished.
If he sets up a website like this before selling the narrowboat, is there a fear that the building of the boat will be seen as a business?
Can he sell the boat privately before starting a business and if so is there any need to worry about if the website I build for him is in a business like name and looks to all concerned as though it is a business website?
Would he be better just making it obvious it is just a private sale and then changing the website after the sale and after he starts trading?
