Selling power tools online - how to start

Hi, I wanna sell power tools and welding equipment online. Is there a gap on market - there is Amazon...etc. Is there a little chance? How to promote? Thank you

Assuming you have some unique selling points, and strong pricing, you could try Facebook unpublished (dark) posts to advertise to very specific audiences (eg power tools to diy enthusiasts and so on) with very specific content.

You could build a 'media' type site first demonstrating various projects, tools and tips and tricks, build a following, e-mail list, forum etc which would give you your own audience to market to. (even Ritz Crackers are up to the media stuff - check out cheeserank.com - another example is Gary Vaynerchuk's wine show to promote wine library - a business he grew that way from 3 to 60 million in revenue).

Lots to think about - it wouldn't be impossible to make a success of it, but you need to give a lot of thought to strategy first before you jump in.

Buy some stock and sell it on ebay to get used selling on-line, before you think about selling through any other channel.
