Hello, I started my business in UK and i want to import sealed and certified organic olive oil from Greece and sell it retail online via my website and b2b to other businesses (like organic food stores).

I will storage the goods in a certified third party logistics.

The supplier is certified, the warehouse is certified too. So do I need any kind of certification myself?

If your warehouse is certified and the supplier is also then you don't need any certification but one thing that you import organic product so may I know do you have organic certification? if your organic products must be certified then add business’s organic certification in your 'Seller’ section. And if not then you must be certified by one of the organic control bodies.

Firstly, are you willing to sell in bulk or retail?

If in Bulk then these are the steps you need to ensure.

In order to sell organic products, first of all you have to have the certifications from the product manufacturer in case you are not the one.

After that you have to registered as an authorized distributor of those products and even get Export license. You must have a IEC (import export code).

Find out the nearest department of commerce branch near you and they will guide you through the process.

It is not easy to export goods to any other country.

If you are selling in Retail, then it is better to be seller on E-commerce platforms such as Alibaba, Amazon which take care of most of the issues.
