Selling Life Insurance

Hi all

Can't believe that I have never come across this forum before. A month ago I quit my job as an account manager for a financial service company. Plan was to team up with a colleague are start selling life insurance by ourselves or find another job if that did not work out. The person I was supposed to start this with (who can give advice) has gone cold on me and though I had successful initial stage interviews, pretty much everywhere I have applied for has put a freeze on recruitment.

Instead of waiting around for this guy, I thought if there was a way I could simply get up and running by myself. I am good at cold-calling and have a family and introducer network I can call upon. I have no qualifications and have not sold life insurance before (but understand it). What would be the next steps for me?
