Selling holiday courses online, any software recommendation?

Hello there,

We are a sports coaching a company running school term coaching (paid for by schools), however are also offering school holiday coaching courses, to be paid for by the participants themselves.

We run many at the same time, and give many different options (i.e 1 day at location x, 3 days at location y etc).

What I am looking for
Smart looking, easy to manage by me (i.e not web developer dependent) , interface where it starts with

1. List of which course participant can choose from, incl locations & prices (easily manageable and updateable by me)
2. Option to obtain lots of information about participant
3. To obtain payment upfront.
4. I also want to pull a report at a push of a button which the course leaders can use which hold all the information on the participants, as well as apply filters, (i.e separate course information to separate people). I want to accept payment by UK creditcard/debit card and paypal.

So far we have been working with googledocs and linking to paypal, but this just won't work anymore (very!! labour intensive) and does not look professional.

Our website runs on wordpress and I have a web designer who should be able to install any software on this nicely.

Can anyone give any recommendations for a good e-commerce solutions which answers to all above needs?

Any shopping cart won't do you fine. There are some awful pieces of software out there.

If you are going to add ecommerce functionality to WordPress then use WooCommerce. It's well supported, flexible and robust.

If you want to turn this into some silly point scoring debate then feel free. My legitimate point was ANY shopping cart won't do.

As regards WooCommerce, we've used it and had nothing but good experiences. We used WP commerce and it was terrible.

Thank you for your feedback, I will have a look into WooCommerce , and will come back with feedback! I agree that any shopping cart won't do , is have come across some bad ones when booking into/onto systems.. thanks!
