Selling car

Hello!

Could you tell me please, what should I know, when I sell the car on a behalf of my customer?
What forms do I have to fill in, what my customer should fill in and is it counts if I got an invoice and agreement, signed by customer, saying that I sell the vehicle on behalf of that guy(my customer) and I have his permission to act, make decision related to his vehicle?

A bit complicated, but I hope you will understand.

Thank you

The current owner needs to sign the registration doc. You then need to fill out the relevant parts when you sell it.

If your a trader and making money on it then you need to fill out the traders section on the reg doc, give this section to your friend and then send the docs off when you sell the car and fill in the relevant section. If you don't send the docs off your friend will be liable for any speeding tickets or if the new owner doesn't tax the vehicle and also doesn't declare it SORN.

Also raise an invoice and get it signed. Write sold as seen on the invoice. Although if your a car dealer the client is entitled to a short warranty. Not sure how long this is.

Thank you for answers.

What if I'm not a trader, I just do it on a behalf of somebody but through the company , so the owner stays to be the same , then the buyer will still have a right for warranty and etc? Even if in invoice and in T&C will be paragraphs , saying about sold as seen and we don't take any responsibility after the deal?

Still need some help =(

If I have a brokering company, and I act as middleman, i.e. I don't own the vehicles I sell, do I still have to provide warranty? As I understand, I don't have to, as I'm just an agent, who finds the buyer and negotiate with them on a behalf of the owner.

Any answer is much appreciated, as I stuck because of my ignorance, but I think almost everyone have started their businesses with a questions in a first row. :)
