Selling a domain/Website

Dear All.

i have been searching forums and google for ways in which to value my site and possibly sell it.

The site i am interested in selling is betfairpromotioncode.co.uk

The site advertises a Betfair promotion code for Betfair new customers when they first sign up to betfair and once they have placed a £25 bet then my account is deposited with a £25 free bet, with the possibility of earning up to 2,500 for every customer depending on their activity on Betfair.

In the last 4 months i have earned over £6,000 in free bets, the site is ranked no.1 and no.2 in google for Betfair promotion code and only receives around 25 visitors a day, but i have a huge conversation rate.

Could someone please advise me how much my site could be worth or advise me where i could sell it.

cheers

Hi Shaun,

Can I ask why you would want to sell it when it is bringing you £6K every 4 months or so?
Kind regards,

Matthew

All I can provide is my betfair statement and show the deposits that betfair make into my betfair acc daily. I only have 6 months worth of payments, how wud that affect my domains value. as it has only just gone crazy due to my site being no.1 and no.2 in Google since October?

Betfair could kick you off their program and then the value would be a lot less. The better you do in search then the more likely other affiliates are to kick up a fuss.

I think this is worth more to you than anyone else tbh? If I bought the site I'd have to join betfair's program and I wouldn't really want to submit this site for review - would I?

Hi.

Thanks for your reply.

I cannot possibly think why Betfair would kick me off their program. I have a good relationship with Betfair and they encourage you to start websites, Twitter your personal code and also email your friends, as this is a relatively cheap way of advertising.

You do not have to submit your site for them to review, you just advertise your code in a legitimate way without breaking any of their terms and conditions, etc.

Recently they froze my account due to the large amount of customers opening accounts with my promotion code and once i contacted them informing them about my website and the reasons why i am referring large amounts of customers they replied with an apology. Stating that due to the large amounts of referred customers using my promo code they looked into it and after reviewing my account they have since apologised and reactivated my account

Risky domain name due to the trademark in it.

there is case law where companies have gone to court to claw back earnings made due to passing off using TM names.

Due to the exact match nature of the domain that is where the value lies.
