HI. Please can someone advice me. I am a self employed courier and my vehicle is a car. I dont use it much for pleasure. I cover approx' 2000 miles on a good week, what expenses can i claim for, and at what percentage. I am not V.A.T reg'. Also when I have worked out total expenses and deduct the amount from total earnings, at what percentage do i deduct tax. i am very new to this need to get it sorted, only been self employed for 1 month. So have a year to sort out. Cheers Mike:)

You can do either, but I would guess that with your level of business motoring it would be beneficial to claim for all runnning costs including fuel and then calculate the small restriction - perhaps you could work it both ways in the first year and just use the most beneficial?

You obviously dont know much about readers(genuine Readers) We all provide a service. Do you charge for your service. If you provide you charge. This is no con. I do this as my full time post. I dont just collect 25,00 and do a runner, The package that is recieved is worth more than that. If you know anything about this field you would know that 25.00 is a minimal charge.

In another post (above) you said you were a full-time palm reader or something. How can you do both on a full-time basis then?

There is no doubt a link between being a courier and a palm reader....but it sure is lost on me :|

That other post was signed by 'jo' and others by 'mike' so I am wondering if the husband and wife are both using the same username here, as mike uses lower case and seems quite polite and jo uses caps lock and comes across a tad unprofessional.

The other post says they do the courier thing 24/7 so I mentioned this full time readers job being a contradiction, in the other thread.

EXCUSE ME!!!!MR. High Oh Mighty One. I actually put that thread on for my Grandmother. Yes I am a courier. Thank you for thinkinglike you did. MIKE

That other post was signed 'jo' so it would obviously create confusion when you are on another thread signing as 'mike' and your username being 'mikejo'.

so who is jo and where does he/she fit into the equasion of the palm reading thread?

BTW another forum thread about multiple people using the same username is not shall we say, encouraged, and as such each user should be joining in their own name so as not to cause confusion. That thread did your cred no favours whatsoever.
