Why is it the 2Nd seiss starts from eligibility after 14 July, The first grant was for March, April, may,

what happened to June, is it that the government trying to claw a bit back after they have gone wild with the bounce back loans

happy weekend everyone hope everyone staying safe

Yes going back to work but 2 large contracts which Where due to start in April have been lost so workload is down 35% starting again July, but business has been effected

I’m not complaining just curious as while watching Martin Lewis show he commented about the Start date Of 2/nd Seiss which he didn’t seem happy about

Some people are never happy.

Unlike employees self employed could work at their business while getting a large chunk of income. And again in July onwards.

Employees and company directors had more limitations but got payment faster. Thousands did not qualify for any of the covid help payments and are stuck with - at best - the loans on offer or benefits.

Agree not everyone can be happy, not sure if you implying me

But as you say some people fall through the cracks

For my self not trading long , I can assure you I never got a large chunk of income from The seiss, but as Asda say every little helps. And whether I’m still able to carry on time will only tell.

I have so called friends of friends who are loving it , some directors who complained initially that there furlough pay was so low as took it only in dividends to loving the Grants and idea of 50 k loans, And backed by the government they thinking it’s a free for all. but as they say off buying a Range Rover it’s money back in the economy

Have a good weekend everyone and stay safe

We closed on 18th March.
Received the first SEISS 18th May for which we are very grateful.
I think this was to cover loss of income for March, April and May.
I assume the second SEISS is to cover loss of income for June, July and August, for which we should be eligible to apply.
But I suppose those still affected in June only have missed out on that month's support.
