Security chain

Looking for a very touch security chain to help secure my main doors (bit of a weird configuration, thus considering using a chain.)

Any suggestion for one that won't be the weak link?

I appreciate if there's a gas torch involved, not much is going to stand up, but looking for the best chance possible, at least!

From personal experience, I highly recommend Almax:

Everything outside - and the trailers and bikes in the garage/sheds - at ours, is secured by these chains to ground anchors.

They're expensive by comparison to oxford and abus, but they are as uncropable as it currently gets. There's clips on the Almax site of oxford and abus locks being hand cropped in seconds!!!!!!

Dont forget the quality of the lock is as key as the quality of the chain.

Again, from personal experience, I highly recommend the Squire SS65CS Stronghold Lock.

Cheers for the thoughts.

Definitely thinking at least Almax kinda levels of security - but ideally better if that's possible?
They do claim their series IV is the worldest toughest security chain, so may not be.

I've seen the Almax videos before and always been a little sceptical they are THAT much better relatively - as bias is quite likely. However, general opinion in motorbiking circles does seem to favour them generally.

Almax still seem a bit 'home' via that industrial, but then whether anyone needs a better chain overall is another matter - as security is of course about more than just the locks, etc.

Security chains stronger than the ones mentioned will just leave other parts of the security to be the weak link. Unless you have bank vault doors and security reinforced walls those Almax chains wont be the weak link anyway. Any doors or gates will be easier to cut than the chains.

What kind of building are you trying to protect?

It's workshop/storage.
The chain will go through some very thick walls is the plan (and various ways to ensure it'd have to bring the whole lot down, not just rip out a small bit of wall.).

Other bits of the security certainly will be weaker links, just want to make sure that's definitely the case... thus I will soon have a thread up about monitored alarms, too :).
