SECOM alarms and problems

Hi, has anyone else had problems with SECOM?

I've have had a monitored alarm system in my office since SECOM installed it in 2004. After years of reliable twice-yearly visits, in 2017 we only had one of the usual two maintenance calls. And in 2018 the usual end-of-year visit has not happened. For the first time ever I booked an appointment (an engineer used to just arrive) in December but the engineer, without explanation, was called to an 'emergency' and would reschedule. Of course, no one has contacted me.

I am wondered whether to give up and get another company to take over monitoring and maintenance: is this feasible?

The alarm system is straightforward with Redcare/GSM monitoring.
