Keep hearing having schema data can help with your google rankings and 'real estate' of the results shown in google.

Anyone implemented Schema data into their opencart products ?

Looking to keep it simple, probably starting with just item price at the moment - can anyone give me some no nonsense steps/code to enter (and where to enter it ?) for my products ?

The implementation of rich snippet markup won't affect how your web content ranks organically in search directly. It does tell a search engine more details about the type of content on your web pages though which I believe in time will become a ranking factor for search queries for particular types of products.

For now though, the main benefit is to ensure your providing as much details about your website content in the search results for the benefit of potential customers and to make your listings stand out from everyone else.

We've also implemented rich snippet markup into OpenCart websites before, but we don't have a blog post on it. It required quite a lot of vQmod XML patches (which of course could also differ store to store depending on what's been customised in your OC theme already) but I'll also be keeping a lookout for @Faevilangel's blog post on this.
