Scheduling Software / App

Morning.
As well as running a business, I, like many others have a family who need organising too. Can any of you recommend the best software for scheduling, reminding etc not only things that need seeing to or reminders for my business but also for personal life too. At the moment I have a good ole diary in my bag but feel I should have something on my laptop and phone if possible that 'talk to one another' so I can organise things properly. Do you use gmail or outlook? If so, just use the calendar function.

On both of these the calendar will synchronise across PCs. tablets and smart phones.

I do have a Gmail account that I don't use but if I accessed it could I then just use it for the scheduling etc functions?

Certainly. Log on to your gmail account. Click the app launcher (rubik cube type square) in the top right of the window and select calendar from the menu.
Enter you appointments and events and away you go.

For tasks I have a to-do app on my phone/PC. But for wrangling family and for appointments of all types I too use the google calendar (and don't bother to use gmail).

You can set up a bunch of different calendars. EG Home, Social, School/Activities, Work. These can then be shared with the family on their PCs, phones and tablets.
