I believe it is part of the regulations that a Limited company has to say where they were registered?

Is there a difference between being registered in England and being registered in England and Wales?

I've always had the statement Registered in England & Wales on all my literature, no idea why, but must have read it somewhere when I first formed the company.

I'm just updating a website for someone who has just gone Limited and they say Registered in England - is there any difference and are both allowable?

It probably doesn't make much difference on letterheads but it can make a difference when it comes to changing the registered office. We normally select registered in Wales as part of the incoporation process but on one occasion we wanted to move the registered office to an address in England and that caused difficulties. Nothing insurmountable, but we couldn't just notify the new address
