Sales Team Games

Hi Everyone,

Tomorrow is Friday and as its a quiet day for us, I'm going to start Fun Day Friday.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what 'games' I can do to get my sales team buzzing on a Friday!!!!!!

Ideas so far...(this is from friends in sales)

1. Don't let anyone sit until they make their first sale of the day
2. Raffle tickets - get one for each sale made then 'cash' em in for prizes at the end of the month

Any more....

the busiest sales day in any team or business genre that i have run is Friday.

potential customers and staff have that feel good day.

all i used to do is give me so many sales and they can go home early, i set the team a target rather than individual and it was great to see them acting as a team.

and you know every friday by 1.30pm there wasnt a person in site only me!

Hi,

If it were me then certainly anything offering a reward above what I would normally receive would get me going. I'm not sure about not letting anyone sit down until they have a sale. Is this focussing on the negative which is opposite to the atmosphere you want to create? It could be embarassing for the individual who is left standing which I suppose in some sales environments wouldn't be an issue. For me I think that it's better to focus on the success!

I love the raffle ticket idea and also the idea of creating a team target. I don't think the prizes have to be that good, just a bit of fun. We have had games in the past for getting sales where the prizes were furry dice and nodding dogs for the car! Although a bottle of bubbly is always well received. Be creative with the prizes, maybe give a team prize, pizza for 10 or something like that.

You could have a 'character' of the hour and everyone has to communicate in the style of that person for the hour. (not to the customers though).

With the raffle ticket idea you could set up a stall of cheap tacky ranging to good prizes like they do at some of the amusement arcades in Blackpool.

Sounds like you will have a fun day tomorrow! Let us know how it goes and if sales are up v other Fridays!

I used to work in a call centre and at times it was difficult to stay motivated. BUT we used to run a competition for the advisors where we would put a tick agianst their name for ever sale and the one witht eh most sales would get to go home 2 hrs early- worked every time!!

For those that under achieve though we would also run a few others to keep those who know they were not goignt o win motivated- bottles of wine and beer should get your team in a good mood ready for the weekend....
