Sales Order Processing Systems

I'm looking for a cheap (read free) option for a sales order processing system for a new start up venture.

Can anyone make any recommendations for me to consider.

It does not need to have ecommerce or eBay functionality as we have no requirement to link through those channels. We're simply looking for a simple system of processing sales orders and stock.

Any ideas gratefully received.

Thanks for the replies.

I have looked at Linnworks previously, I'll re-visit as it was a while ago now.

I had no idea MS Office did any such thing, does anyone else know anything about this option?

I have found a low-cost option by a company called Losoftware, which looks really good. The downside appears to be product support, even a simple e mail request from a potential client doesn't appear to get answers. Shame as it looks pretty promising.

Could you clarify what your looking for the system to do?

Cheers

Ideally we'd like to use it for inventory, sales orders, raise purchase orders and despatch. Sage Accounts plug in would be most useful along with some type of CRM system.

Most SOP systems I've looked at, don't handle multiple pricing options, we sell (and buy) per 1000 so an option such as that would be handy.

Not much at all really :)

I'm still looking if anyone has any suggestions or ideas.

I did take a look at losoftware, but the lack of response from them with a couple of questions has really been quite off putting. It's unfortunate as the system looks pretty good apart from it's seemingly glaring inability to handle our requirement to handle 1000 piece part prices.

Any suggestions gratefully accepted :)

One of the key items that companies outsource is their accounts receivable processes. It may not be widely considered as a main focus of a company but it definitely contributes in generating revenue, especially for retail and manufacturing companies. Under sales order processing, there are three important factors that need to be satisfied in order for a solutions provider to be able to perform their tasks problem-free; these three factors are keen attention to detail, a prompt business turnaround time, and clear communication lines.
