Hi all,

I would like to know where you find and maintain your target customers contact details (specifically direct lines).

I know many of you on here are sales/marketing consultants - I'm interested to hear your views on how and where you source contact details for clients you want to target for yourself / on behalf of your client.

In previous employed roles I've used things like LinkedIn sales navigator, jigsaw.com (now of course data.com) and the like. All are fairly expensive for just me, so I want to sign up with the right one.

I work mostly within IT and cold-call to hundreds of IT workers each week - typically security officers / network managers / application managers. Many of the ones I've used are typically US specific and I've been stung on the cost once before.

What would you all suggest? Is there a 'contact details trading area' for such details?

Thank you in advance

Tom

Hi Tom

I would suggest not signing up with any "system". Why limit yourself to something like data.com as one shoe does not fit all with marketing data. As a broker, we are aware of many different list sources which might be able to help you - all with different costs, licenses, quality assurance etc. It's about matching your brief to the correct source and one where you don't have to sign up or commit. That's what they want you to do regardless whether its right for your business or not.

Square peg and round hole. Speak to a good list and data broker and get the round peg.

Thanks for your reply.

I agree on that front that a single system / broker will suffice for what I'm after - I've just called your company for details. Specifically what I am looking for is direct dials to the decision makers within IT departments of I guess £250m+ turnover companies within the UK. Of course it's a big ask, but I'm open to exploring the potential if there's any at all.

Direct dials are worth 95% of the value or more of the information any data can provide and I know most don't have this sort of data. If anyone has any recommendations about where I could find some, I'm open to discussions.

Thanks
