A few people I was talking to yesterday said they were considering ditching the model of actually having to buy the Ecommerce software and instead use a SaaS model. Anyone here using this model and with which application ?

Tiger commerce is another SaaS platform product. I think the main benefit of going SaaS is the updates to the software platform being more regular and free (as opposed to a bespoke design site). Deployment time is minimal meaning you can be setup and running very quickly.
