Rugby

I thought the council had forgotten about the rugby here in Cardiff but in the last 2 days it's gone full steam ahead.

They've put up a german hotdog and beer barn in the centre, plus marquees at the station and loads of flags. Also saw the Irish squad arrive yesterday. Feels a bit more like it now.

ESPN Fantasy is all set up. Shall we do a forum league!?

Shame I'm off to North Wales for the weekend!

The Hakerane was meant to be a bit of fun But as it is that arrogant dickhead dawson who has done it, it has rubbed everyone up the wrong way.

The Haka (pronounced Harka, not hacka) (pet hate) is a tradition and should be respected and faced up to.

THAT SAID... Anything is good if you stand up and accept the challenge that is the Haka.

As for Irelands chances, I can't see it myself, they were devoid of ideas against Wales in the second test against a full strength Welsh team, I think this tournament has come a year too late for Ireland.

@RPower the most surreal moment was being in the England post match do, with Josh Lewsey's mother and another English player's mother speaking in Welsh :D She is from Cwmllynfell which is in my rugby district. Also Josh isn't his name, it is actually Owen ;)

His brother Ed came up through my district and played for Wales U21 and age grades, while Josh went and played for England.

Just how bad is the commentary on BBC Radio 5 live?

I forgot about the start of Japan Scotland game, jumped in my car to do school run, put radio on at about 3 minutes past 5 and it took well over 10 minutes before I even knew what the score was.

I know it can drive people mad hearing the score too often, but to go over 10 minutes without knowing the score on a radio commentary is abysmal

    Back to ITV now :)

I went to do a quote tonight and the home owner asked me if I was following the rugby. I dont so I said no, its of no interest to me at all. Then I asked " isnt there something going on with rugby at the moment" ( I dont follow it and genuinely didnt know it was the world cup) and the wife s******ed to her husband and said to me yes its the world cup. That little exchange has put her quote up.......

I love sports but i really can't get into this rugby. I loved the womens world cup with a passion and stayed up late to watch all of the games, and i hoped that i would feel the same about rugby but it just hasn't happened.

If anything i am enjoying watching england be outplayed by Australia which kinda sums up my indifference.

    Tonight's game... oh dear.

England's attacking and defensive lines were pretty much identical (Flat with gaps everywhere), as apposed to Oz's line which was spirit-level straight in defence and agressively angled when attacking. Schoolboy stuff really and Australia deserved the win.

@RPower how come you didn't interview me then :D

only 2 teams can win this, England or New Zealand.

Our group will come down to who can hammer the Fijians and Uruguay by the most points as I think Wales will beat England, England will beat Australia, and Australia will beat Wales.

    Seriously looking forward to this

So New Zealand for the win then?
