Returns - my favourite subject - you just to laugh!

Just received a returns parcel.

Despite sending each customer a returns form and a returns label (which has their order number printed on it in case they forget to enclose the paperwork), I just received a returns parcel with no paperwork inside, they did not use our label, and despite reusing our packaging they have gone to great lengths to remove the original label which would have had their address on (the last possible clue) and instead scrawled our address all over it in biro.

As the item is one of our most popular products it could belong to numerous people. I'm not even going to try to find out who it belongs to and hope that they will contact me eventually. I will add it to my pile of unidentifieds.

You just have to laugh sometimes........

The REAL laugh comes when someone calls you for a credit and you say...

"Oh, right, and was it returned in the correct way? All the paperwork sent with? If you had read the paperwork it gave specific details on our returns policy...format, comms required..." etc, blah

You might be able to scrape some DNA off the parcel tape or failing that, there's alway handwriting analysis experts.

No, we are kind to our customers and I will issue the refund but I'm not going to spend hours trying to identify the sender.

You have to laugh don't you.
We get them from time to time but the silly thing is that the returns label we provide they need to cut it off the returns form and tape it on to the front of the parcel AND they still don't put the returns form in l with the parcel.

Luckily no we don't - but we've had a few where (and im not joking) , i've sent them back to the customer with a Haz Mat sticker on them (on the underwear in the parcel - not on the outside otherwise I might get the anti terrorist squad on my case)

Some of clients were careless and made us in trouble.And it is necessary to use a form to track our goods and improve on our service.
