Return of Deposits

Hi. I placed some deposits for new vehicles with a reputable brokerage. The vehicles have become very late and they agreed that they would refund the deposits to us in full. The first one came back within a week but we are now three weeks later and no further deposit has come back as they are waiting for them to come back from their supplier.

My question is is there a legal time period in a B2B sale for deposit monies to be returned to you? I'm tempted to threaten/place a winding up order on them at the moment but I'm not entirely sure if they have done anything wrong as of yet?

There should have been something in your contract but if not it is a case of what is a reasonable timeframe, if it is normal practise to have the vehiclae ready within x weeks and you have waited more than that time then you can take action.
