Retail sites such as Notonthehighstreet / Amazon

I am looking for websites such as Amazon or Notonthehighstreet where I can retail my exclusive jewellery. It's made in the UK and hand finished.

Can anybody recommend any good sites, or heard positive or negative about these two websites?

I've looked into Ebay, but I don't think my brand and jewellery would be complimented by them.

Also I would love some tips about how to approach small retailers any any do's or don'ts.

You can see my jewellery at www.silverdogcharms.co.uk

Any help, tips or advice is welcome!

Do people seriously buy charms for dogs? and if they do, surely eBay would be the perfect place.

Just checked the site, erm, that really is niche. Good luck to you.

YES but NO!

My charms are for people to wear not the dog itself. There is however a few companies that make charms to go on the dog collars.

You would be surprised what people will do and buy when it comes to their dogs!

I would try

Asos marketplace

its growing in popularity and probably attract more of your desired customers. As for approaching shops go to your local high street and ask if you can place some on sale or return at first to see if there is a market. Once you discover there is then you can offer them wholesale to the shops.

Etsy is good however it does take a lot of promotion to get yourself noticed. And then you are likely to sell to other makers only. (The general public is not really aware of Etsy).

Ebay is good and I wouldn't rule it out. I purchased a pendant from a seller on ebay (handmade by the seller) before Christmas... I couldn't find the style of pendant anywhere else!

There is also Wowthankyou.co.uk might be worth a try.

Have you tried putting leaflets about your dog charms in vets?
