Retail Bathroom Showroom

So is there something that you recommend Lee?

I don't 'not recommend' PlanIt, it just isn't the default solution as you suggest, its a good package. I like autokitchen myself, but generally the combination of my large range of displays to actually see and touch, coupled with my winning smile is good enough.
The software suites are primarily for automating quotes and more so showing the customer what the kitchen will look like. Neither is that imperative here as my maths is superb, we can just about afford calculators for the chaps and I have loads on show so imagination isn't required.

Any chance I could have a look at the website for your showroom Lee? Happy for you to PM it to me if you would prefer for it to remain confidential.

I purely aim to use design software as a "this is what to expect" tool for customers, I have been pricing and planning bathrooms a while now and dont need the "job sheet" aspect of some software, So I am open to looking at any software, But with a £££ limit in mind (and on paper)

I am also booked into a few trade shows to get hands on with all the major players in the design software leagues. (I hope)

oh, and Fusion never returned my email or phone call, I just checked my call sheet.

Planning software is far from essential, especially for bathrooms. There are more important things to get sorted out as a new start up.

Yup, whilst they market the software as being all you ever need to run your business, the reality is that their only real benefit (and it's a good one) is as a sales tool. A plan view line drawing is pretty pragmatic, but a 3d rendered visual of how their new kitchen will look has a big impact.

You can show your customers brochures, you can show them your showroom, but it is when you stick that new kitchen into a virtual space that they recognise as being their own home that the hook lands.

I suppose its relative to the brands you are selling, certain manufactures will have allegiances to certain design packages. Ie Villeroy & Boch prefer Virtual worlds, Virtual worlds will also tie in with Easy Quote which will raise a quotation based upon the design and convert this to an order.

Does any of this software actually allow customers to 'virtually' walk around their new kitchen or bathroom?

If you mean can they virtually walk around the kitchen/bathroom on the screen then yes, but the quality of the output in this scenario would depend entirely on how good the computer's processor, RAM and graphics card was. If your computer isn't able to render at high quality on the move then most of these applications will allow you to pre-record a defined route around the kitchen/bathroom so that the graphics are already processed.
