Reproduction Designer Furniture Supplier needed!

Hello everyone,

I have just registered on here but have been a keen watcher for the last few months.

I am starting up a reproduction designer furniture company selling design classics such as the Eames Lounge Chair and the Barcelona Chair.

I have a supplier lined up overseas but initially I need to buy the stock from a UK wholesaler in smaller quantities rather than by the container load!

Does anyone have any experience in this area or have any contacts who may be able to advise, any help would be greatly appreciated!

You just missed the large interiors show at the NEC, but I expect show catalogues are still available

Sorry, need mine myself, but if it isn't worth £12 for the catalogue guess you could spend hours and hours and hours and hours........ well, you get the point.

Try Philip Hunt Antiques, in Ipswich, and
Period Living Furniture, in High Wycombe

And most importantly, get along to either, or both, Arthur Swallow; Swinderby (Tues & Wed) or DMG Newark (Thurs & Friday) next week. For furniture reproduction manufacturers, and also manufacturers of repro interiors stocks. Lots of Dutch suppliers with well priced items. Down to guys that handmake pine furniture from reclaimed pine from church pews etc.

The Interiors Event would have been great, i think their exhibitor list is available on their website.

Anyone know any wholesalers in the UK stocking those products..?

HI

A top end supplier worth considering is Lloyd Loom in Spalding. UK Based, and not cheap, but top end product and ever desireable, and always saleable.

Swinderby is also usually good for the contemporary kind of thing.
